In the old village narrow alleyways link the cottages and the whole area is full of charm and character. The beach has both sand and rocky pools and the surrounding moors offer great walks and some stunning views.

A friendly welcome awaits in the village pubs and hotels with weekly quiz nights, folk nights and guest bands. In summer there is an excellent local museum.

Shops include a Post Office, bakery, fish shops (both fresh and fried), general stores, galleries, a drapery and good quality crafts and gifts. As for food, take your choice of cafes or tea rooms, hotels and pubs with bar meals or a-la-carte menus.
